This iconic fragrance brand was set up in 1870, an age of adventure and new discoveries. The designer William Penhaligon arrived in the buzzing city of London in 1860 to embark on what would become his illustrious career. In 1874, he opened his first boutique on Jermyn Street and shortly afterwards at No. 33 St James Street. William managed to set himself apart and build an excellent reputation as having a unique approach to fine fragrances. He combined a great imagination with cosmopolitan ideas and used high-quality ingredients and innovative formulas. Nowadays, Penhaligon's is still creating original and pioneering fragrances that celebrate and honour its remarkable heritage.
